BlueGreen2018 Features Bass Pro Shops Founder and CEO

The Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida (FWFF) is thrilled that Johnny Morris, Bass Pro Shops Founder and CEO, will be the guest of honor and speaker at BlueGreen 2018.

A conservationist at heart, Mr. Morris is one of the country’s leaders working to ensure natural

habitats, wildlife, and the outdoors remain healthy and abundant for future generations. Morris got his start in 1972 by selling fishing tackle out of the back of his father’s store. Since then, Johnny has earned a reputation as one of the most visionary and influential retailers of the last 50 years.

Time is Running Out

Did you know that the Florida Grasshopper Sparrow is at risk of going extinct this year? Make a donation at wildlifeflorida.org to help fund the captive breeding program, and contact your representatives to urge them to restore funding for the program.

The Florida Grasshopper Sparrow is a federally endangered bird found nowhere else in the world. Despite public land managers’ efforts to recover the bird, its population continues to decline steeply on the very lands where it should be thriving.
