VNET – 30 Years

June Newsletter | 2021

Hello {"ANONYMIZED":"2023-04-26"},

As we reach the end of June, the market continues to struggle with setbacks, including component shortages and global logistic challenges. These issues have led to incremental cost increases from our suppliers, especially across DRAM, SSD, LCD panels, integrated circuits, and graphic cards. If we look at memory alone, PC DRAM prices are forecasted to increase by 23-28% due to the increased production of notebook computers (source: Trendforce).

The PC industry is expected to continue to struggle with severe shortages across multiple component categories through the rest of 2021 before the situation eases.

In short, supplies are changing daily, and we are experiencing price increases from all vendors without much notice. Therefore, we recommend that you order new hardware as soon as possible to ensure that your prices are locked in.

Don't Get Caught!

Have you ever received a strange email from a mysterious sender asking for money? Or perhaps you’ve gotten a phone call from someone you don’t know who tells you that your bank account has been compromised. Maybe it was even a suspicious text message. Emails, phone calls, and text messages are all mediums through which cybercriminals will try to steal consumers’ personal information with the intention of turning a profit. This type of scam is called “phishing,” and it is fairly common in today’s society...

Microsoft 365 Tip

Copy (Ctrl+c) and paste (Ctrl+v). How many times a day do you think you use it?

Did you know that in a Word document, you can click one little button to remove all formatting before you paste?

Next time you've pasted something, highlight it and click the 'clear formatting' button. It's in the Home menu and looks like an A with an eraser over it.
