Stakeholder Newsletter

July 19-26,2023

Hello Tourism Community,

I hope you're having a wonderful start to the week. I was on vacation last week enjoying some time in the great outdoors camping with family.

Destination Ontario’s Data & Insights team has released the most recent Ontario Tourism Health Check report highlighting recovery indicators such as accommodation occupancy rates and border crossings. Check it out for some interesting insights. As a reminder, we are in Region 9.

RTO9 has also shared an interesting report on the rise of Blended Travel. With more and more people working remotely, they now have the flexibility to work while exploring new destinations. See this article for more.

Finally, the Partnership Grant from the RTO9 is still open however the deadline is fast approaching. I would like to see some of that funding come to Brockville! Please let me know if you need help filling out the grant, or need more info.

Thank you and have a great day!
