Heather McNerney
Heather McNerney is a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) inspector for U.S. EPA Region 5 and is stationed out of Chicago, Illinois. In addition to being a dedicated SPCC inspector, she provides technical assistance to EPA case officers, educates the regulated community on the SPCC rule through outreach initiatives, and is the lead trainer for new SPCC inspectors. Prior to this role, she served as a contractor for U.S EPA Region 2 in Edison, New Jersey, conducting SPCC and Facility Response Plan inspections in New York, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico. Ms. McNerney received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Rutgers University in 2014.
