ADA information on June 27, 2023 DEA License Renewals

Washtenaw members are contacting board members in regards to the new Medication Access and Training Expansion Act. This created a new one-time training requirement for ANY provider who is applying for or renewing their Drug Enforcement Administration registration. An active DEA registration is required for any provider who prescribes controlled substances. Read more here.

The ADA has a guide to learn more. Many of your WDDS CE courses count towards this requirement. Simply log in to your ADA account, the same as your WDDS log in, then:

• Click ‘My ADA’ on the toolbar
• Click ‘CE’ on the left side
• Click on ‘transcripts’
• The WDDS transcripts (proof of CE) go back several years, and can be filtered to your need.

Please contact Barb if you have any questions with this process.
