Easter is a day that represents one of the most important promises to us Christ-followers, Jesus' resurrection and miracle in the tomb. It also signifies the end of the law, the end of Jesus as incarnate man, and fulfills the promise that God has left us a Helper in His Holy Spirit as He ascended into Heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Father.
Even the disciples who witnessed Jesus perform many miracles had their doubts about Jesus being raised from the dead. However, on the third day...the tomb was empty. (see John 20).
"The third day He arose again from the dead (1 Cor.15:4). He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty (Col 3:1).
Death couldn't stop Christ. He had to fulfill the promise for you and I.
Don't forget He was man. He was tempted, He experienced exhaustion and needed rest, He felt pain: physical, spiritual and emotional. He experienced hunger, defamation, slander, betrayal, back stabbing, trauma and abuse.
Be reminded today that nothing you are going through is a surprise to the Lord.
He understands, He sympathizes with you. He feels your pain and heartache, He is brokenhearted with you.
He also rejoices over you and calls you the apple of His eye.
He delights in you and desires to bless you with an abundant life (nothing broken, missing or lacking)!
Christ is whatever and whoever you need Him to be.
He left us a Helper, Counselor, Confidant, Friend, Guide and Comforter in the Holy Spirit. And because His body was broken and sacrificed on that old rugged cross thousands of years ago, we can face tomorrow! Today, we are forgiven and can live a life of freedom, salvation and hope!
We pray that you remember the meaning of Easter, Resurrection and the significance of what the third day represents to all believers not just tomorrow, but always.
May you find rest, peace and everything you need in Him, our One True Source.
Many blessings to you and your family.
