Located within Huntington Beach State Park, Atalaya is a 30-room home built in 1931 for world-renowned sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington and her husband, Archer. The open-air, brick enclosure also housed a multitude of wild animals - Anna’s favorite subjects for her bronze sculptures, many of which can be seen at nearby Brookgreen Gardens, founded 90 years ago by the Huntingtons.
