Fall Student-Athletes Shine
in the Classroom
One of the five pillars of our Athletic Department is academic achievement, and we wanted to take a moment to highlight the academic efforts of our fall sports student-athletes. The combined GPA for all fall varsity teams was an outstanding 3.65. The top girls' team GPA was recorded by girls' golf with a cumulative GPA of 3.97, while the top boys' team GPA for fall 2020 was recorded by boys' cross country with a combined mark of 3.83.

Faculty Spotlight:
Mr. Giraldez P '23 '25
Each week through our Faculty Spotlight series, we invite our community members to get to know Gulliver Prep teachers across every division. Last week, we introduced Lower School’s Mrs. Grass and this week, our Faculty Spotlight features Mr. Antonio Giraldez P '23 '25, Middle School Social Studies Faculty. Click on the button to discover Mr. Giraldez's favorite thing about Gulliver, the last book he read, his hidden talent, and more.

SK Writing Reflections
Last week, SK students in Ms. Maruchi’s class learned how to reflect on their writing and explain their process. During class workshops, students are usually paired with partners. However, since we are limiting contact, students discussed their work with their stuffed animals instead! They explained why they chose their topic, pointed out something that was tricky to do, discussed their writing process and thoughts behind their stories, and highlighted what they were proud of.

5 Questions with Sedrick Irvin, Jr.
Running back Sedrick Irvin, Jr., ‘23 is making moves on the field and in the classroom, as he boasts a 3.94 GPA and is rated by 24/7 Sports as one of the top 100 football student-athletes in the country for the Class of 2023. A leader on and off the field, he looks to lead Gulliver Prep deep into the postseason this year, as the Raiders kick off FHSAA playoff action at Monsignor Pace this Friday, November 13. Click on the button to learn more about Sedrick, including his greatest influence, his advice to younger athletes, and more.
