2020 Visitor Service FAM.

The Wyoming Office of Tourism 2020 Visitor Service FAM trip will take place April 30th-May 3, 2020, and will cover Southwestern Wyoming and the Star Valley area, including Rock Springs, Green River, Evanston, Kemmerer, Afton, Daniel and Pinedale.

The purpose of the Visitor Service FAM tours are to provide additional training opportunities for visitor services staff and industry partners through a condensed and focused program. This FAM is catered towards frontline staff in the tourism industry who have consistent interaction with visitors to our state.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Wyoming and speak first-hand to visitors about experiences that could lead to an increase in their length of stay in our state.

Cost is $150, which includes transportation from Cheyenne (or any spot along I-80 between Cheyenne & Rock Springs) and back, all entrance fees, lodging and meals.

Haven't hired your seasonal staff yet? Send us your registration form and payment for your organization and we will hold your spot.

Miles Partnership Follow up from Governor’s Conference

For those of you we were unable to connect with Miles Partnerships during the vendor speed dating time at the Governor’s Conference, here is a quick recap:

We talked about two main reasons why it is important to advertise through the Wyoming Office of Tourism’s owned channels, and those reasons are quality and exposure. The visitor audience on www.travelwyoming.com exceeds 2 million and they are there intentionally to be inspired and plan their vacation. We also know visitors who request the Wyoming Travel Guide are looking to be inspired and plan their vacations. With growing concerns mounting over this summer’s tourism season due to COVID-19, leveraging WOT’s investment in bringing visitors to Wyoming is critical.

In the final session of the conference, we heard about managing your community’s brand and why that is so important. Brand management can really be applied to anything or anyone, the trick is making sure you convey that message to the right people over and over.

If you would like to speak in more detail about building your brand and what differentiates your community, business or attraction; please schedule some time with:
