MONTHLY

WEBINAR SERIES

We are pleased to announce the return of the monthly webinar series. For the next several months, our office will offer useful and resourceful webinars for our partners, covering a variety of topics. The webinar series will share the same link (see below) as our monthly Industry Call and begin immediately after the Industry Call wraps at 10:30am. If the Industry Call goes long, the webinar series will begin right after.

November's webinar will cover Vendors and Co-Ops. Our office understands that due to the vast array of programs offered, our partners are being reached out to by a number of individuals. This webinar will help partners understand who our vendors are, what programs they oversee, and identify who the point of contact is when sales efforts are being made. In addition to this background information, we'll also go over our new system for co-op announcements.

Webinar Details:
Monday, Nov 1st
10:30am

Registration for the 2022
International Roundup is open!

The state tourism offices of Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming proudly present the IRU tradeshow event. This event is not your typical tradeshow, in just two days of intensive pre-scheduled business appointments, nearly 50 organizations from around the Great American West region, and nearly 30 international and domestic buyers from more than 10 countries, conduct business negotiations that result in the estimated generation of more than $117 million* in future travel to this five-state region. At IRU, buyers and sellers are able to conduct business that would otherwise be generated only through an exhaustive number of around-the-world trips.

Registration for the 2022 International Roundup event, May 14-17, 2022 in Fargo, ND is NOW OPEN! We have limited space this year due to registration rollovers from the cancelled 2020 & 2021 events, so you'll want to reserve your spot!

His strategic thinking skills make him a great addition to the Global Partnerships team. Thanks to Nick for a strong first two years.

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT

Fall Summit

Wyoming Hospitality & Tourism Fall Summit

There was excitement and energy in the air as close to 100 partners in the Wyoming Hospitality and Tourism Industry gathered at the Best Western in Sheridan last week. Throughout the entire event you could always overhear “It is so good to see you in person.”

The Fall Summit covered issues at the federal and local level affecting the hospitality and tourism industry. Federal legislative and workforce issues were discussed and local issues such as the Tourism Improvement Districts and Film Industry Production Incentive were presented. Time was spent on Governor Mark Gordon's, Survive, Drive, and Thrive, roadmap for the long-term health and vitality of Wyoming, outlining his 11 key priorities for utilizing the American Rescue Plan Act funding. WOT highlighted how local lodging tax boards rose to the top during this challenging time with a lot of creativity and CARES funds. The last session featured Diane Shober, Executive Director of the Wyoming Office of Tourism, sharing how WOT is now positioned to maximize visitation across Wyoming in the coming biennium. The event ended with Governor Mark Gordon joining the dinner to provide an update on the state of the state.

Both of the WOT presentations will be available in the coming week on both our industry website and Wyoming Tourism Basecamp on Facebook.
