Here is what you need to know for the 2022 stickers and maps program.
Only DMO’s can request stickers and are responsible for distributing them to locations in their area. If you are not a DMO, please reach out to the first before contacting the state.
Please discard all of your 2021 sticker maps. Each year the maps are updated.

Top Media Placements

In February, the Office of Tourism and partners traveled to Mexico City to meet with nine media outlets, including five 1:1 meetings. Top media included Robb Report, Aire + Accent, and National Geographic (Spanish issue) – who we hosted in state at the end of February for a story on Wyoming in an upcoming issue.

We also continued to see coverage resulting from the Texas Media Mission in November including two stories in the Texas market which garnered over 1.1 million impressions. The PR team worked with contributor Kimber Westphall to develop a story in Paper City featuring the top “under-the-radar Wyoming destinations” including Dubois, Saratoga, Ten Sleep, Sheridan and Cody. Kimber also showcased Jackson Hole during a segment on the Dallas NBC affiliate.

Looking ahead, Conde Nast Traveler’s March 2022 cover story featuring Yellowstone’s 150th anniversary hit newsstands in February. The PR team worked closely with the publication’s editorial staff and Wyoming partners to develop the cover story which highlights Yellowstone as a whole and includes 14 pages of images and stories throughout the national park including “The Stories We Tell” (Lauret Savoy), “Keepers of the Land” (Jacqueline Keeler) and “Where the Wolves Roam Again” (Jesse Ashlcok).

Thank you for 26 years, Michell!

March 1, 1996 is when it all started. Michell Phelan took a job with the Wyoming Film Office and the rest is history. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Michell for the past 19 years and have watched her grow and evolve with our organization in ways that are quite simply impressive. She began in the Film Office, then became the Manager of the Film Office. In 2013, Michell was named Director of Strategic Partnerships and then in 2015 became the Sr. Director of Brand Strategy when we broadened her responsibilities and merged our Strategic Partnerships and Brand Studio programs.
Michell’s drive and ambition is noteworthy. She is always willing to step up and do what is needed for the greatest good. I’ve had the pleasure of working with and knowing Michell for 19 years. You don’t work side by side with someone for 19 years and not have a lot of memories and shared experiences. We’ve laughed together, we’ve cried together, we’ve cussed and discussed and through it all have had the best interests of WOT at heart. I have learned as much from Michell as I hope she’s learned from me. She is smart, savvy and her sharp wit makes her fun to work for and work with.
Thank you, Michell, for all you do for all of us. You make me a better leader and I’m so very grateful that you’re one of us. Congratulations on 26 years at the Wyoming Office of Tourism!!!

Happy Anniversary Becky!

Becky Oswald joined the Office of Tourism on March 12th, 2018 so join us in celebrating her four-year work anniversary. She started out managing our website, has led RFPs including the collaboration for the interactive map with State Parks and Game & Fish (which was, and still is no small task) and now showcases her leadership skills by overseeing the agency of record and the Brand Integration team.
We appreciate Becky's process improvement analysis, her eye for design elements and brand consistency, and her inquisitive nature to seek out learning opportunities. Her strong work ethic and positive contributions to organizational projects are invaluable to our overall team success. She's so humble and can always be counted on and trusted by all those that work with her.

Congratulations to Lexi Mitchell on two years with WOT!

Lexi takes every task thrown at her in stride, allowing our team to work as a well-oiled communications machine. From helping PR wrangle media to feeding content to our always-hungry social media channels, Lexi's work is greatly appreciated.
Lexi's quick wit and ability to let us know exactly how she's feeling through a single facial expression help make the office a fun place to be. We are happy to have her as part of our team!

Dionne Roccaforte celebrates 3 years!

March 11th marked the 3rd Anniversary for Dionne as an awesome team member of the Wyoming Office of Tourism. On this very day three years ago we came across a very skilled professional and lovely person. She has set an exemplary standard for all of us with her work ethics and her loyalty. We all want you to know what a pleasure it is to work with someone so driven and dedicated as she is. Dionne does not shy away from any task. She looks at everyone as a challenge. She will not sleep till everything is in balance and correct. Thank you for being such an important asset to our team.
