“Never be so busy as not to think of others.”

― Mother Teresa, The Joy in Loving: A Guide to Daily Living

When people ask me how I'm doing, I used to say, "Great! I'm really busy."  But being busy alone isn't an indicator of whether you're effective at your job or if you're taking enough time to think about the right things to work on.

Now, instead of busy I say, "I'm fully engaged".  I'm more focused on what iI'm doing day to day and minute by minute because the time is the universal currency.  How can I maximize my output while minimizing the time it takes to do it?

Online conferences and webinars are a fantastic opportunity to gain some industry knowledge without leaving the comfort of your (home) office.

  • Riskalyze FearlessWeek (Aug 12) - I'm a big fan of these guys and have attended their conferences since they began.  This yea, I'll be moderating a virtual panel called "Investing Innovations: Building Your Tech Stack" at 11:00 ET.
  • AdviceTech.LIVE (Aug 27) - This is a brand new event launched by Adam Holt, CEO of Asset-Map and I'm on the advisory board to help make it a success right out of the gate. I'm moderating a panel of portfolio management vendors that you don't want to miss. 50% of all ticket revenue will go to the Center for Financial Planning Diversity and Inclusion Initiative.

Stay Engaged,
Craig

Wealthtech vendors are discovering that even if they become experts in trading and rebalancing, a robust order management system (OMS) is required. A vendor with well-documented and flexible APIs can be the difference between success and failure of an OMS implementation.
