Barcelona enhancing urban nature
Following International Day for Biological Diversity, Barcelona’s efforts to enhance urban nature and natural heritage within the City has been highlighted in an article which celebrates biodiverse cities of the future. 
 
 
 
 
Orlando’s apiary
The City of Orlando, Florida, has created an apiary in partnership with the non-profit, Black Bee Honey. It provides honey, allows for beekeeping education, and it supports critical pollinator species like the honey bee.
 
 
 
San Antonio conserves land over aquifer recharge zone
Since 2000, San Antonians have voted to conserve land over the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone to ensure water quality and quantity for urban residents. The Seco Sinkhole is one of the largest recharge features in the Edwards Aquifer and is protected by a conservation easement held by the San Antonio Edwards Aquifer Protection Program.

Edinburgh Process for Subnational Governments, Cities and Local Authorities on the development of the Post-2020 global biodiversity framework
The extended consultation period is now closed. All inputs to the process will be taken into account in the drafting of the Edinburgh Process report to the CBD and will be presented in the Online Information Session on 2 July.
