  Alcazar, Cape Town’s introductory inner city New Year’s Eve party, was bought to you by Bazique Festival & Wolfkop Weekender, and produced by Lucky Fish. It was an amazing outdoor/indoor venue in the shadow of Table Mountain, in the heart of the city. The city’s undisputed masters of art-immersive and experiential partying collaborated and brought you a NYE experience never to be forgotten. ULTRA was on hand to assist with a JBL line array sound system, Robe intelligent lighting, Christie projectors, Pioneer DJ gear, crew and MA lighting control.
5FM's Secrets of Summer New Year’s Eve Beach Party, brought to you by Corona at the pristine River Club Golf Estate, was home to the brand's biggest production yet. Beautifully themed stages and dance arenas, a man-made beach oasis - complete with soft beach sand, palm trees, day beds, splash pools, geodesic domes and DJ Lifeguard Towers were all complimented by views of the majestic Table Mountain. ULTRA supplied a solution of scaffold support structures for the decor to be attached to, Vertec line array sound system, DJ gear, intelligent lighting, Christie 14k projectors for the video mapping onto the set, and a compliment of technical staff.

With its cosmopolitan culture and penchant for partying, the sun-drenched coastal city of Cape Town was home to Made in Mykonos 2018. Setting the tone for the season with champagne showers and sun kissed dancers, Made in Mykonos was kick-started another unforgettable Summer in the city. With Cape Town’s Clifton Beach as the canvas and paired with the hottest names in local and international entertainment; DJ and Producer DJ Vassili TsiliChristos was on the decks as the international headliner, with a mix of local artists completing the performer lineup. ULTRA created a technical solution consisting of stage, trussing, suspended sound systems, lighting and a host of visual effects to round off the entertainment package.
Pick ‘n Pay celebrated the end of the year by inviting registered Smart Shopper customers to a Xmas party, complete with food stalls, wine tasting, a children’s play area, entertainment, and even an appearance from Father Christmas himself. The event was held at the garden outside the Springbok Rugby History museum, in the iconic V&A waterfront. ULTRA was asked to supply all technical requirements by the WorldSport group, which consisted of a 6m x 10m StagePlus Stage, A JBL VRX sound System, full band backline, microphone and monitor systems, and a complete lighting rig. The SPARKULAR MACHINE is the beginning of a new technology to the world of stage of effects. One of the most exciting features of this new technology is flexibility to create effects that were once impossible in previously sensitive venues and indoor/outdoor use. Spectacular features include very low smoke, quick dissipation, no strong pyro smell, fountain can shoot longer intervals, adjustable height and adjustable density of fountain.
