The Saggy Stone Beer and Music Festival took place for its third year on 9 February 2019. This annual event was hosted on the beautiful Amandalia farm, where the Saggy Stone Brewing Company is situated. ULTRA was once again entrusted with the stage and technical aspects of the concert, which featured Karen Zoid, Francois van Coke, Jack Parow, The Kiffness and Freshlyground. Back line, PA, and Lighting requirements were all met, with a compliment of staff to ensure the smooth running of the festival.

Ultra Events was proud to be involved in the Cape Town leg of the Tamia Tour with support acts Lady Zamar, Paxton and Wandile. Ultra handled the entire technical aspects of the event from structures to sound and lighting. On the Sound side a 9-a-side JBL Vertec system was deployed for FOH audio, and JBL SRX and VRX speakers were used onstage for monitoring. 2 x Midas Pro2 consoles were used for FOH and Monitors. Covering lighting duties were a range of Robe and Martin fixtures, all controlled by a GrandMA Ultralight.

BRANDS THAT RECENTLY TRUSTED ULTRA WITH THEIR EVENTS

ULTRA was approached by Your Journey to supply a technical solution for a house party in the upmarket suburb of Bantry Bay. ULTRA provided a stage, D&B sound system, lighting for the dance floor as well as mood lighting, and a generator and power distribution to the various bars and the stage itself. Richard Marshall and Electric Licks entertained the crowd at the outside dance stage, with a lazer show supplied by Atomic One. When the clock struck 12, the party was moved to a custom-built club inside the guest house.

To recreate a concert-style background for a TV commercial, Monkey Films requested a certain look and feel, which ULTRA replicated with a temporary installation at the Green Point Park amphitheatre. Working on a tight schedule and with severe restrictions on power and rigging, ULTRA made the magic happen with 24 UHP Led Parcans, and a dummy speaker setup with additional backline and monitor speakers to complete the appearance of a concert stage.

 NEW TOYS TO SHOUT ABOUT

GENERATORS.....GENERATORS.....GENERATORS.....GENERATORS

Eskom falling over?

NO PROBLEM.

ULTRA can supply a power solution to ensure events keep running on schedule. The SDMO generators are built on trailers enclosed in sound proof cabinets and have built in diesel tanks and are the perfect mobile solution to get power to your event. The generators include a mechanic governor, mechanically welded chassis with anti-vibration suspension, circuit breakers, radiator and fan for cooling in the African sun.
