ULTRA was tasked with the full technical production of the Pop Bottles event which was held at The Grand Beach Cafe. A D&B V series sound system was the chosen solution for audio reproduction of the various DJ's as well as live acts, KO and Ricky Rick. Martin lighting fixtures were used along with CO2 cannons and sparkulars cold pyro on the special effects side. An impressive video design using 6mm LED video screens was created to complete the stage.
The eighth incarnation of the Cape Town International Animation Festival (CTIAF) took place in March 2019 at the River Club in Observatory, Cape Town.The CTIAF has become renowned for presenting world-class content, from animated films to insightful workshops and masterclasses as well as providing a unique platform to engage with global industry leaders. The Festival hosted business-to-business sessions, producer events, networking opportunities and government panel discussions in addition to student competitions, a family programme and an outreach initiative. ULTRA was on hand to create and support a technical solution for the various presentation areas for the local and acclaimed international presenters to shine bright and deliver their messages to the captivated audiences. The Cape Town Cycle Tour Expo is an extension of the Cape's largest annual cycling event, attracting a large number of vendors, displays and patrons. Pick & Pay, as one of the largest sponsors of the tour, hosted a food and entertainment area in the center of the Expo. Entertainment was provided as background to the food court, with bands and DJ's playing to the appreciative crowd. ULTRA supplied a stage, sound, band equipment DJ gear and crew to complete the solution.
ULTRA had the pleasure to partner with Guild Gallery for their third annual awards evening. providing the technical solution required for the show, and experienced crew to ensure smooth operation. The centerpiece of the awards evening was a high-definition projection onto a custom surface provided by the venue, utilizing a Christie 14k HD projector. Custom logos in the form of lazer-cut gobos were projected by Martin Mac Quantum lights. The evening was rounded off with DJ Tommy Gun playing a mix of music to entertain the crowd.
