LIVE CONCERT

The idea behind the RX Radio Youth Music Festival was to bring the youth of Cape Town together in a five-hour festival. The performances were primarily made up of youth acts, between the ages of 11 and 25, as well as some special guests. This was a great way to show off some of the young upcoming talent, including skits, magicians, DJs, comedians, singers and bands. The main focus was on the youth and thus, as much planning, organizing and marketing as possible was done by RX Radio Young Reporters, who make up the core festival committee. The inaugural RX Radio Youth Music Festival was an unbelievable experience and one that will be remembered for a long time to come. ULTRA Events assisted the organizing committee with a comprehensive technical solution to enhance the performers performance.

CONFERENCE

Ackermans, the leading chain of 700 clothing retail stores across Southern Africa, including in Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland and Zambia, held there annual operations conference 2019 at the Lord Charles hotel and conference center in Somerset West. ULTRA Events was tasked with creating an immersive technical solution with sound, light and video for the daytime conference and there-after to turn the room around into the evening dinner, awards and entertainment event.

FESTIVAL DANCE EVENT

What happens when you combine the Two’s Up stage (2016), The Trap House (2017) and Hotel Soulection (2018), and fuse genres like Afrobeat, hip hop, R&B and soul on one stage? Step into the newest addition to CAN DO! Is Rocking the Daisies 2019 family, The Johnnie Walker Jungle stage. Revelers were treated to the best in local and international hip hop, soul, R&B and more. The production concept and look & feel was conjured up in the twisted minds of Bad Weather productions crew and brought to life by ULTRA Events supplying technical and crew solution from start to finish.

The Champagne & Bubbly Festival was presented by Events and More, who pulled out all the stops to create an event to remember. The glitzy affair was hosted by Shimmy Beach Club and Smile 90.4 FM. The venue was filled with glamorously dressed guests sipping on a variety of bubbles from various wine-makers around the Western Cape. The bubbly enthusiasts were entertained by the Playground Twins and The Kiffness with Mathew Gold. For the second year running ULTRA Events was on hand to enhance the experience with a customized technical solution and crew support.
