| Construction of the possible: Havana Art Biennial confirmed for April-May 2019 |
| The biggest visual arts event in Cuba, delayed by hurricane Irma, the 13th Havana Biennial is now due take place April 12 to May 12 2019. It will be " a space for art that understands creation as a living event or ongoing experience - networks of exchange, beyond the aesthetic autonomy and the traditional notion of authorship, with a transforming vocation and recognition of diversity." With projects all over the city the theme is "Construction of the possible". |

| The former Buena Vista Social Club frontman makes his solo debut at the Royal Albert Hall, fronting his own band. Known as ‘Mr Chan Chan’ in his hometown of Santiago de Cuba, his unique guitar and vocal style has made him a champion of the string and percussion-driven Cuban country music. Part of La Linea 2018. The show will be followed by a special screening of the new documentary. |
