Yes, we are open!

On 21 March, we welcomed our first guests to our park. The first spring flowers were popping up and there was nothing to suggest anything could stop us celebrating an exciting opening day.

Unfortunately, our guests couldn’t enjoy it for very long. Due to the COVID-10 virus, Vakantiepark Koningshof was forced to close its doors on 2 April for all rental accommodation and tourist pitches. A strange and uncertain period for all of us. On 30 April, we received the wonderful news we could reopen on 1 May.

The swimming pool, restaurant, snack café and Park Shop can reopen soon and animation will be offered. Keep checking our website for news updates.

Want to cancel free of charge?

We understand that because of the COVID-19 virus situation, you want to get out and about but that the uncertainty may stop you from booking a couple of days away from your home. To ease your concerns, we offer you the option of cancelling your booking free of charge up to a week before arrival. This only applies to bookings made from 5 May with an arrival date up to 30 June 2020.

Precautionary measures COVID-19 virus

Naturally, we take the measures we have to take for you very seriously. You will find a disinfection unit at various entrances. Please use it before entering. Keep a distance of 1.5 metres and wash your hands regularly.

We also have plenty of disinfecting soap. You will see the cleaners at work in the buildings at our park regularly. Extra cleaning shifts will ensure everything is and stays clean.

In terms of hygiene too, we will make sure you have a worry-free holiday.

Meet a new face

Known since forever within the Koningshof team. However, a familiar face at Vakantiepark Koningshof again since 1 January 2020 after the sale of Camping De Zuidduinen.

Arno van Haarlem was more than happy to make the switch. As the assistant park manager, he, together with Pim and Penny Kromhout will be welcoming all our guests.

“I started as an intern at Koningshof about twenty years ago. I learned so much back then and to me, it always felt like a comfortable bath. I never forgot about that when I worked at Camping De Zuidduinen which is why after about fifteen years, I didn’t hesitate to make the switch.”

Parkshop taking shape

What's new this season is that you can now also go to the Park Shop for fun gadgets for your home or to give away, funny cards and Dutch souvenirs.

Looking for a nice gift for your home? Why not pop in and have a browse!

News for the kids!

Castle Koningshof

Climbing, clambering and jumping

Although Vakantiepark Koningshof has had a wonderful playground with several active pieces of equipment for years now, we’ll be offering even more during the new camping season.

Children will be jumping for joy on the air trampoline.  Next to the air trampoline, you’ll find a large castle made of wood, that you can climb, slide off and explore.

Prefer doing a balancing act on the new balance beam or rotating beam? Come to the playground and try them out!

Airtrampoline

Airtrampoline

We now have a super-cool air trampoline for slightly older children. Get on and jump as high as you can. Do somersaults and play with your friends for as long as you want.

Exhausted from all the excitement? Then come and have a look at the Mini Petting Farm.

Mini petting farm

Mini petting farm

Love rabbits and goats? Next to the Prinsenhof, you’ll find a Mini Petting Farm. It’s a real hay barn and it has a wonderful indoor area for the animals. You can pet them outside on the grass. Want to have your picture taken with the animals? Ask your mum or dad to document this lovely memory.

Indoor play area

Want to get active with your friends? From 13 May, you can visit the indoor play area.

You can play table football or air hockey and you can also try out the new Pacman computer game. Who’s going to win this time?

Entertainment

Unfortunately, our friends Tipy, Flora and Zipp will be leaving. But no worries because you’ll be meeting a tough knight and a hip princess. They are the new residents of the wooden play castle in the playground. The knight, who’s a bit forgetful at times, is a descendant of the famous knight and count of Holland, Floris the Fifth.

And a hip princess. She’s not afraid of a challenge and she likes adventures. And oh, before we forget, she likes to pull pranks. The princess is a descendant of Countess Jacoba van Beieren.
